Let’s Talk About Getting Healthy With the Magic Bullet

Are you or someone you know trying to get healthy this spring? Want to be able to show off that bikini body this summer? The Magic Bullet can help you with that.

Most people have heard of the Nutribullet Magic Bullet before. The Nutribullet Magic Bullet is a blender that is designed to be used as a space saving replacement for other appliances such as a blender, food processor, and electric juicer. The Magic Bullet is compact in size and consists of an electric blender base with a number of attachments. Here is a list of the attachments:

  •  screw-on blade attachment
  • two mixing cups, one short and one tall
  • two handled cups, called by the manufacturer “Party Mugs”, which can be used to blend individual drinks
  • lids for the cups, intended for storing foods
  • an instruction manual which also contains a recipe book

The Magic Bullet is easy to use and can save you time, it’s much easier to clean than a blender. Trust me- If I had to clean a traditional blender I would be drinking FAR less smoothies than with the Magic Bullet. Here is a really quick and easy recipe that can be found on the Magic Bullet website:

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

a handful of fresh or frozen strawberries
1 banana
1 cup of ice
splash of orange juice

Preparation

First … Add all ingredients to the Tall Cup or Party Mug and twist on the Cross Blade.

Then … Lock On and mix until smooth.

Next … Drink up!

See, isn’t that quick and simple? Of course you could substitute frozen berries of any type instead of using the ice! If you like, you can also add in just about anything to power up the healthiness- spinach, protein powder, ginger, flax seed, the list is pretty much endless.
Smoothies aren’t the only thing that you can make with the Magic Bullet – you can make cocoa, egg nog, margaritas, and more. If you can dream up a drink (alcoholic or not!) that you could make in a blender, you can make it in the Magic Bullet quickly, easily, and with a lot less clean-up involved.
If you’re a person that staggers out of bed in the morning like me, and absolutely needs your coffee, the Magic Bullet can help with that, too. One of my favorite things to do is to take cold coffee that I made the night before and stuck in the fridge, add some ice cubes, and blend it all up in the Magic Bullet. Add a little whipped cream and you have yourself a “FREEpachinno” which has the benefit of not only being practically free, but also saves you a trip to the coffee place. Win-Win!
DealDash not only has the Nutribullet, they also have the Nutribullet Pro 900, and The NutriBulllet RX! Do your body a favor and head on over and check out these great space-saving juicer/blenders. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Xbox is for Everyone

If you took a poll of 20 teenage guys I bet 19 of them would say that they enjoy playing Xbox. However, Xbox isn’t just for teen guys, read on…

Xbox One is Microsoft’s newest Xbox console, but lots of people still enjoy playing the Xbox 360 , including my Aunt! She is 64 years old and you should see her playing Minecraft on her 360, she is just as good as any teenage kid out there! Most ladies her age would rather be reading, doing puzzles, or knitting, but Aunty loves Xbox. She originally bought the Xbox 360 to have at her house when her grand kids came over to visit, but little by little she got hooked on the great graphics and fun story lines of some of the different games.

Of course, there are plenty of games out for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 that don’t appeal to her such as the Grand Theft Auto series. However, there are plenty of games available for people of all ages from Elementary school age, such as Angry Birds: Star Wars to fun family games like Kinect Sports Rivals that everyone can enjoy. One favorite series at my house is all of the Lego themed games such as The Lego Movie Video game (yes, that’s really what it’s called!), Lego The Hobbit, and my Son’s personal favorite – LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

The original Xbox (not the 360, the one before that) was the first video game console offered by an American company after the Atari Jaguar stopped sales in 1996.  The original Xbox was released on November 15, 2001 in the United States, and has sold over 24 million units.  Microsoft’s second console, the Xbox 360, was released in 2005 and has sold over 77.2 million consoles worldwide. The successor to the Xbox 360 and Microsoft’s most recent console, the Xbox One,  was revealed on May 21, 2013. The Xbox One has a large emphasis on internet-based features; including the ability to record and stream game play, and the ability to integrate with a set-top box to watch cable or satellite TV through the console.

One of the most interesting and innovative features of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One is the Kinect controller. The Kinect is a motion-sensing controller, similar to the Wii Plus Remote, except the Kinect can also be controlled by by voice, which is definitely a step up in my opinion.

Now that I have told you a little bit about my family and how we enjoy the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, why don’t you head on over to DealDash and see what Xbox auctions are currently running? Not a day goes by that I don’t see at least one Xbox product, be it a game or accessory. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Who Wants to go to Hamilton Beach?

Go check out your small appliances in your kitchen. No really, get up and go look. I bet you have at least one Hamilton Beach small appliance, maybe even more.

Okay, now that we have had a little field trip to the kitchen, did you grab yourself a snack while you were there? Maybe some popcorn from your Hamilton Beach Hot Oil Popcorn Popper, a smoothie with the Hamilton Beach Personal Blender, or did you go all out and make yourself a delicious Belgian waffle with your The Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker? If you made yourself a waffle, I hope you also made a yummy cup of coffee with your Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, too. Whatever snack you might have been craving Hamilton Beach has the tool to help you make it.

The Hamilton Beach name actually has a really interesting story behind it — You might think that Hamilton Beach is named after either the founder of the company, or maybe their favorite vacation spot, right? Well, you would be wrong on both counts! Hamilton Beach was actually founded by inventor Frederick J. Osius in Racine, Wisconsin in April 1910. The Hamilton Beach Manufacturing Company took its name from two men Osius hired, Louis Hamilton and Chester Beach. Osius did not care for his own name, so he paid Hamilton and Beach $1000 each for the right to use their names instead. Isn’t that an interesting little tidbit of information on one of our favorite small appliance companies?

Up until now we have only talked about the kitchen gadgets that Hamilton Beach makes, but they actually make a variety of other products for the home that you might be familiar with as well – a full-size garment steamer, a True Air Odor Eliminator,  irons, and many more.

Personally, my favorite Hamilton Beach product is the Hamilton Beach Programmable 5-Quart Slow Cooker. Now that we are in spring headed towards summer I won’t use it as much, but in the fall and winter months my family lives off of soups and stews that I make with the Programmable 5-Quart Slow Cooker. It’s such an easy task to chop up some meat and veggies and throw them into the slow cooker in the morning and have a delicious soup or stew ready at dinnertime.

I don’t usually make huge meals, but this slow cooker is the ideal size for a 5-lb chicken or 3-lb roast. You can choose from anywhere between 2 to 10 hours of cooking time. Once your desired cook time is complete, the slow cooker will automatically switch itself to the warming setting., which is really handy if you end up working late that night! The Hamilton Beach Programmable 5-Quart Slow Cooker stoneware vessel and lid are dishwasher safe, which makes clean-up extra easy.

I hope you and your family enjoy Hamilton Beach products as much as my family does. Head on over to DealDash and check out what Hamilton Beach products are coming up soon. And remember, if you don’t end up winning the product you want you can always BIN (Buy it Now) and get all of your bids back. Good luck everyone!

Apples to Apples

I don’t know about you, but every single person I know over the age of about 5 has an Apple product of some sort. They are SO popular. Let me tell you why.

Apple has been around longer than I have been alive – they were founded on (no fooling!)  April 1, 1976, which is 39 years ago! When thinking of founding members, most people just think of Steve & Steve (Jobs and Wozniak), but there was actually a third founding member named Ronald Wayne. Their first product was called the Apple 1,  which went on sale in July of 1976 and was market-priced at $666.66 ($2,763 in 2015 dollars, adjusted for inflation). Since then, of course, Apple has released countless products. I’ll give you a quick run-down on some of the most popular ones that are currently available.

iPhone. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the newest phones that Apple has released. The 6 Plus has a huge 5.5-inch (diagonal) Retina HD display screen that is 1920-by-1080 resolution. Some other great features are an 8MP iSight camera with Focus Pixels, True Tone flash, and optical image stabilization, an A8 chip with M8 motion co-processor, and the Touch ID fingerprint sensor – which I have on my phone, and it’s amazing! I absolutely love being able to just swipe my finger and my phone unlocks without me having to type in a password. And when my kids are bigger, well, no one is going to be able to guess Mom’s password!

iPad. There are a few different iPads that are currently out, but I will go with my favorite- the iPad Mini 3 64GB with WiFi. I recently got this iPad for my 7 year old son and he loves it. It has so many cool features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor (so his little sister can’t use it!), a 7.9-inch Retina display, a powerful A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, an iSight camera, a FaceTime HD camera, and so many game apps on the Apple App store, a lot of them for free or less than $3. These iPad Minis are so cute and so portable. My regular iPad doesn’t fit easily into my purse, so when I think I will need an iPad on the go – I go with the iPad Mini.

iPod. As with the iPad there are many different types of iPod, so I will go with the one that I am the most familiar with, the 32GB iPod Touch . I think that one of the coolest feature on this iPod is the  5 MP iSight camera. It lets you shoot photos and high-definition videos on the go. No need to bring your clunky camera or camcorder, the iPod 32GB has you covered. Some other nice features include the iTunes radio with streaming music, a 4″ retina display, and Airdrop Control Center. This iPod holds so much music I don’t know if I will ever end up filling mine all the way up. It’s also great for storing and reading all of your Ebooks and reading them with the iBooks or Kindle App from the Apple App store.
