A New Way To Get The Best Auction Deals

What were you like twelve years ago? Where did you live? Can you still fit into the same size pants that you wore a decade ago? If those pants don’t fit, there’s no need to feel bad. As time marches forward, a number of things besides a love for French fries contribute to weight gain in adults. Odds are, some things have changed. After all, twelve years is a long time!

A vintage TV and telephone sit on a wooden table.
Looking back at old electronics is a great way to see how quickly things can change over the years!

Twelve years ago, DealDash was the place to be for savvy shoppers who wanted to compete for the best auction deals for the brands they love, and that is still true today. However, some things have changed on DealDash over time. We have more brands than ever before, and thankfully the DealDash App and website have had a few makeovers over the years. Change is a constant here at DealDash as we are always looking to improve how bidders compete for the best auction deals. And with that in mind, we are proud to introduce your next favorite type of auction: No Re-entry Auctions.

Bid jumpers need not apply

You will recognize the No re-entry auctions from the knockout symbol.

No Re-entry auctions are a twist on how DealDash auctions work. The rules of these special auctions are simple:

  1. Only BidBuddy bids are allowed
  2. If you run out of bids after the “no jumper” limit, you are eliminated from the auction.
  3. Adding bids to an active BidBuddy is allowed.

These rules mean that someone can not bid early and then sit back and be inactive while others are actively bidding. This strategy is known within the DealDash Community as bid jumping. It is a polarizing strategy to say the least. With No Re-entry Auctions, only those in it and participating from the very start can proceed.

In No Re-entry Auctions you need to be in it to win it! Only bidders with an active BidBuddy are allowed.

A chance to use a bidder’s best friend

The No Re-entry auctions do not allow manual bidding. This means that you need to use the BidBuddy to participate. While this may seem like a limitation, experienced bidders know that the BidBuddy is a great tool to help you win the best auction deals. Experienced DealDash bidder Theresa B. even wrote a guest blog post detailing how the BidBuddy helps her save time and money as she competes in the auctions.

A disheveled scientist holds up a laptop as he frantically works on his latest creation.
Our Team has spent many sleepless nights fine tuning the BidBuddy to make it the perfect auction companion.

Over the years we have perfected the BidBuddy to be as helpful as possible, and now many DealDashers consider it their best friend…at least as far as chasing the best auction deals goes. The BidBuddy only places bids for you when the clock is about to hit zero – the best time. If other bidders are placing “single” bids, the BidBuddy won’t waste any of your bids. It will only place a bid when the auction is about to get sold to someone else. And if you win the auction any remaining bids will be returned to you. It’s a great tool to use especially when you can’t be at your computer. It’s also the best way to stay in the auctions, and conserve your bids. We hope you enjoy the new No Re-entry Auctions, and we hope to see you (and your BidBuddy) participating in them soon!

Is DealDash Worth Bidding On?

Hello DealDash Blog Readers! This week, I have just one important question for you, so listen up and listen good. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Well, is it? Before you take out your blenders and cook books, let me clarify things a bit. I’m not talking about some fad diet or a new recipe. “Is the juice worth the squeeze ” is an informal way of asking if something is worth the trouble. Many Americans look back on their student loans and definitely think that the juice was NOT worth the squeeze. In fact, over 50% of older millennials regret their student loans.

Sometimes the juice is worth the squeeze…like bidding on DealDash!

Married men have a more optimistic answer about if the juice was worth the squeeze. In a study published by Harvard University, married men reported better mental and physical health than their unmarried peers. But what about DealDash?

Is DealDash worth bidding on?

Bidding in online auctions is a new way of shopping for a lot of people and it is natural to have some doubts. In this blog post we’ll cover some of the doubts people have about whether DealDash is worth it. Thankfully, DealDash offers exciting auctions, acclaimed customer support, and all the items you could ever want, from socks to new cars… and rumor has it maybe even a boat! We took a look at the numbers recently: over 50% of auction winners save 90% or more from the auction win price. If you don’t believe us, read the thousands of reviews real customers have left us. So what are you waiting for? Bidding on DealDash is worth it!

What can I shop for on DealDash?

We know that the most important thing to a DealDash bidder is having the chance to win great items from auctions and save money in the process. If DealDash didn’t have an amazing selection of brands that customers love, then there is no way we would still be open for bid-ness. The best part about our inventory of items is that it is constantly growing. Last month we had a liquidation sale to make room for all of the new and exciting products that you will see in the auctions soon.

A worker runs to move several boxes out the door of a busy warehouse!
The DealDash warehouse is a busy place as boxes are constantly being sent out to make room for all the new awesome items that will be up for auction soon!

The sheer variety of items up for auction on DealDash might seem a bit overwhelming to new bidders at first. After all, what store lets you shop for dinner plates and leaf blowers at the same time? Thankfully, the folks at DealDash have got you covered. They divided their auctions into different categories which means that you can browse for that special item you need. Jut look for the magnifying glass icon on the DealDash app or the browse categories button on the DealDash website and you will be on your way to finding your new favorite brand.

Is using DealDash fun?

A store can have the best items in the world, but if the shopping experience is bad, then the juice is not worth the squeeze. Take for example Black Friday. Every year there is a news story that shows people fighting to get in the door of a large store for the right to save $3 on a broom. Then there are the 3-day long lines that pop up each time Apple releases a new phone. Apparently the juice is worth the squeeze for some people as these lines seem to grow longer and longer with each new iPhone release.

A long line of customers wait in line in front of a grocery store.
Long lines can make even the best deals not worth the trouble. Thankfully, you never have to wait in line on DealDash!

But what about online auctions? Does DealDash give a good shopping experience? Is bidding on DealDash worth it? The answer is simple: YES! DealDash has created the best online auctions around that let you have fun while saving a buck! From awarding a prize to the second-place finisher, to special auction blasts, DealDash has something for everyone! Is DealDash worth it? Take a look for yourself and you will see what millions of bidders already have; the juice is definitely worth the squeeze.

Not All Auctions Are Created Equal

For the past decade, DealDash has offered special online auctions that stand out from many of the others . Millions of bidders have signed up and given DealDash a try, so it is no secret why DealDash and auctions go hand in hand for a lot of folks. But believe it or not, DealDash did not invent auctions. In fact, the origins of the modern day auctions we know and love can be traced back all the way to the Roman Empire! The word auction comes from the Latin word “auctum” which translates to “I increase”. The Romans would hold auctions for land, livestock and other valuables after a successful military campaign. Since then, there have been a lot of different types of auctions invented, with DealDash’s special online auctions being one of the best types of auctions around.

Auctions are not a new invention, and their history dates back to the Roman Empire!

After all, DealDash has thousands of rave reviews, so we must be doing something right! And while many folks think that a DealDash auction is the best type of auction, let me tell you a little secret: not all DealDash auctions are created equal. There are different types of DealDash auctions that change how the bidding process works, and clever bidders know how to spot the difference. Can you? Keep to learn all you need to know about the different kinds of DealDash auctions.

Take the lead to win big in these auctions!

If you like to earn free bids, we have just the thing for you: Auction LeaderboardsThese auctions work as normal, but with one special twist; a leaderboard has been added to the auction page! The leaderboard will display the name of the bidders who have collected the most TAHB (Time as Highest Bidder) in that auction.

A leaderboard at a golf tournament displays the names of the top players.
DealDash Leaderboard Auctions reward bidders who earn the most time as highest bidder time in an auction.

Make sure you collect enough Time As Highest Bidder to enter the top 3 positions in the leaderboard. When the auction ends, the three bidders who have collected the most TAHB in that auction will earn additional bid rewards! Our Leaderboard Auctions are coming back later this month (April, 2021), so keep an eye out for them! We want to see you finish at the top of the leaderboard!

Celebrate 2nd place in these auctions!

They say that second place is just the first loser, but that is not the case in our special Runner-up Auctions! These special online auctions work like this: The auctions will still be the same. Each bid raises the price by $0.01. The auction clock restarts from 10 seconds every time someone bids, and if no new bids are placed before the clock runs out, then they current highest bidder is the winner.

Auction Runner-up Discount on DealDash is a great way to earn rewards for finishing 2nd!
Now you can feel great about coming in second place!

But here is where things change; when the promotion is active the auction runner-up will receive a special discount on the Buy It Now price. For example, let’s say you came in second place in an auction for a purse auction. After the auction ends, you will receive a discounted Buy It Now offer for 50% the original price. These awesome runner up auctions don’t take place every day, but they do happen a few times a month so keep your eyes open.

Get exactly what you want in these auctions!

Normally, the winner of a DealDash auction has the choice to receive the item they won, or trade their win back to bids. This newest type of special online auction actually takes away one of those choices! Yes, that’s right, I am talking about our No Exchange auctions!

A man holds up a sign showing the red No Exchange Auction Icon that DealDash uses to designate these special online auctions.
If you win a No Exchange Auction, you will receive exactly what you won.

The name is pretty self-explanatory. There will be no exchange to bids offer presented for the winner. This way, the field of bidders is limited to just the folks who want to win that specific item. And you do not need to be great at math to understand that fewer bidders means easier auction wins!

We really hope you enjoy all the different types of DealDash auctions. As always we love listening to your feedback, suggestions, and ideas for new stuff you’d like to see. Our support team is just a click away 24/7, so feel free to contact us any time!

If you are new to DealDash or the bidding fee online auction model and want to give it a try, use the promo code “dealdash2021” upon registration to get an extra 100 free bids with your first Bid Pack purchase.

Seriously, Everything Must Go!

Have you ever seen a sign spinner? They’re normally spotted on the side of the road tossing a sign in the air or using it to play air guitar as they frantically try and get your attention. Sign spinners are a popular way for businesses to advertise special sales events like an inventory liquidation sale. In fact, sign spinning is such serious business, that there is a National Sign Spinning Championship!

The only problem with sign spinning is that sometimes the performance is so good, folks forget to read the sign! And while it’s true that we do not have a sign spinner yet, we do have a promotional even that you don’t want to miss; DealDash Inventory Liquidation Week! From April 6th to April 11th, you can take advantage of daily auction blasts as we clear out some of the final remaining pieces of our existing inventory and make room for exciting new items!

An Important Part Of DealDash: Buy It Now (BIN) option

The year is 2009, and a young man just lost an auction. He spent $50 trying to win an iPad, but someone else outbid him and he was left empty-handed. Did he cry about it? Perhaps he even yelled out a few choice words? Maybe. But he also promised that he would never let this happen again—to him or anyone else. He ended up creating DealDash which is now the largest pay-to-participate auction site in the US. DealDash was founded to provide an auction experience where people don’t have to lose the money they spent bidding. This is still our mission today.

It is easy to lose money if you are not careful online!
Be sure to keep an eye on where your money goes…

DealDash offers two key things to make sure that no one leaves an auction empty-handed. For starters, we offer a 90-day 100% money-back guarantee on a customer’s first bid pack purchase. This means that if you buy bids and decide that DealDash is not for you, we will refund your first bid pack purchase back to you in full! The second feature is called Buy It Now (BIN), and it is an important part of what makes DealDash the best auction site around.

What Does Buy It Now (BIN) Mean in Bidding?

The Buy It Now option (BIN for short) is for people who do not win an auction. It lets you pay the listed price for an item to get it sent to you. The bids you used in the auction trying to win the item are returned to your account instantly when you BIN. This way, you can try again to win a different auction without losing your bids. Auction sites that came before DealDash didn’t have this option which caused frustrating situations. You could spent a lot of money trying to win an item, but without any guarantees.
