Looking for the Best Time to Bid? Asking these Questions May Help

While night bidding for the best deal may be good, how about those who just can’t stay awake in the late night or early hours. When’s the best time to bid?

I have been bidding on DealDash.com since September of 2012 and over the course of these two years I have done a lot of auction research and watching to try and determine the best time to bid.

I do this because I’m curious to know about my competitors, how they bid and when they bid. For me, I typically watch more and bid less during the weekends because I find the weekdays to be the best time to bid. I have seen new bidders come in on Friday and Saturday and bid on practically all auctions that are open – not really paying attention to their selections. These bidders have likley not done their research or read the DealDash Reviews, tips and strategies. They have not learned that more successful bidders focus on one auction and try to avoid bidding on multiple auctions at the same time. The actual “winning” comes to those who are patient, selective of the auctions they choose, and have focus.

Help yourself find the best time to bid and develop a better bidding strategy by asking these questions:

  • What time of day are there a lot of bidders?
  • At what time does DealDash appear to be a little more quiet?
  • When do I notice a lot of new bidders?

If you watch the isolated auction information you can see the many avatars of the active bidders participating. If there are not a lot of bidders this may be a profitable auction for you.

  • Did you check the winners list for the day?
  • Did you notice how many auctions were won for just a few pennies?

I’ve found these 1 cent “penny deals” happen most often during non-peak bidding hours when the competition is less. Keeping these questions in mind, try to practice and research DealDash.com to see what time of day works best for you. Final DealDash tip: remember your bid buddy is your best friend as it will help you conserve your bids by only bidding for you in the last few seconds of the auction.

Good luck and happy bidding!

Affordable Tablets for Kids and Families

My name is Nicki and I have been playing on DealDash since 2012. I have 3 kids ages 4, 11, and 21. They all have very different needs but the one thing they all have in common is their love for gaming; especially on their new affordable tablets.

As a mom I have a hard time finding new things to get my kids when it comes to birthdays and Christmas, however thanks to DealDash I’ve been able to find the newest gadgets and tablets for my family at affordable prices.

When browsing DealDash I came across this 32GB Asus Google Nexus 7 Tablet and decided to bid on it. The Buy it Now price was $160.00, however I decided to only book 200 bids into my BidBuddy. I just so happened to win this tablet with 164 bids (164 x .15 = $24.60) and a the final selling price of $10.78. Since you’re able to earn free bids on DealDash the average price per bid is less than 15¢, however the total cost calculated at 15¢ per bid plus the final selling price comes to $35.38. That’s an excellent savings on a high quality product!

I gave this tablet to my 11 year old kid and of course my 4 year old would not leave him alone because he wanted to play too. To level the playing field I went back to DealDash looking for a good deal for my youngest son.

I found a very suitable tablet that is awesome for a 4 year old! This is a Vtech InnoTab 3S Learning App Tablet and had a buy it now price of $93. I was able to win this with just 42 bids at less than 15¢ per bid when you include the free bids earned. The final selling price as $1.81 so including the cost of my bids, if they were valued at 15¢ per bid, the total cost comes to $8.11.

This learning tablet is SWEET and the deal made this Mommy very happy!! It has some very neat games for 4 year old’s, such a a Fire Truck game which he loves to play! It also has a cool feature where I can link the tablet to my cell phone and we can text back and forth over WiFi. We love sending pictures back and forth. 🙂

At this point my 21 year old was feeling a little left out so of course I wanted to get a little something for him too. This Proscan 7-Inch Tablet 8GB Memory Bonus Keyboard and Case came up for auction on DealDash which I decided to go for. After using just 26 bids I was able to win this auction with a final sales price of $0.99. This was during a Free Auction to the Winner Day therefore only had to pay a 1¢ transaction fee plus the cost of my bids which was very little. This tablet is awesome because he can do just about everything on this and typing is simple because it came with a keyboard.

I now have three very happy kids and no more fighting between the family over who’s turn it is to play. I won all of these by using the DealDash BidBuddy which is something I recommend everyone to use. I find using the BidBuddy to be the best way to win auctions on DealDash.

Enjoy the auctions and good luck!

How The Research Bidding Strategy Can Help You Win

Researching the items you plan on bidding on before bidding on them can be very useful and help you improve your chances of winning. After all, research is one of the many different strategies which can be used to win auctions.

I know the days get away from you when you “intended” to do something. You wanted to research that KitchenAid Mixer you’ve been wanting but life got in the way and instead you may have just jumped into bidding hoping to get the win. One of the most useful strategies is to take the time to research the item.

There are many different ways research can be done at DealDash.

1. You can research the item by searching out the product you’re looking for using DealDash’s search functionality.

Research KitchenAid Mixer

Once you search out the item you’re wanting you can dive deeper into your research of the product by making sure it’s the exact model you’re looking for by reading the description and see what price it recently sold for.

research previous price

2. Another way to research the item you’re looking for is to see what the average selling price for the item is. This is a great research strategy to use and will help you know when it’s a good time to enter an auction. Take this KitchenAid Mixer for example. When logged out of our DealDash account, we can quickly see what the average selling price on DealDash is.

research average selling price

This helps you out in many ways because you can see the average ending price which can help you determine when to start bidding and conserve your bids.

Did you notice how one of those mixers sold for only $3.27? The auctions can be very unpredictable which is one of the reasons shopping on DealDash is so exciting and fun. The bidder silverado5 got a heck of a deal!

3. Research the number of bids you are willing to use in the auction. Factor in what the bids cost you and the final sales price of the auction. Make sure you stick to this budget and don’t overspend to the point where it makes more sense to buy it now and get your bids back. Here’s some simple math to help you determine how many bids to use in the auction.

Item value divided by price per bid = max number of bids to use not including final sales price.

4. Finally, research articles from this blog site and others like DealDashTips and DealDashReviewed for more bidding tips and strategies to help you become a better bidder, win more auctions and ultimately have an enjoyable shopping experience.

Improve Your Odds of Winning – 3 Things You Can Do

Did you ever wonder what you could do to improve your odds of winning more auctions on DealDash.com?

To improve your odds of winning on DealDash, here are a few points to take into consideration when bidding.

  1. Looking at how many serious bidders are in the auction can help you improve your odds of winning. You could be better off waiting for the same product to come up for bid again when the competition might be much lower. Customers often place only one bid at the beginning of the auction and never come back. I double click on the auction item so I can count how many serious bidders have placed bids into the automated bidder, BidBuddy. Obviously, if there are only a few serious bidders you will improve your odds of winning in that auction compared to an auction where there are a dozen or more serious bidders.
  2. Improve your odds of winning by becoming familiar with DealDash bidder screen names and avoid bidding in the same auctions with the most heavy-handed bidders. I pay attention to screen names and I have a list of bidders I avoid like the plague. If they jump into the auction after I am already there, I often cancel my bids and get out as soon as possible. Why? Because I know I will not improve my odds of winning if I compete with customers who consistently over-bid and drive the closing cost up.
  3. Avoid bidding with couples with double screen names, such as AnnplusAndy (just an example made up screen name). I noticed that couples and grandmothers tend to be some of the most consistent and worst over-bidders. Perhaps they share incomes or have more time and money to splurge.

These are a few ways to improve your odds of winning more auctions on DealDash! Another recommendation to improve your odds of winning is to read more helpful articles on sites like this, DealDash Reviews and DealDash Tips.
