Take Time for This Important Holiday

All around the country, Americans are preparing for Memorial Day, 2023. Some folks will fire up the barbeque and grill with the family, while others will take the long weekend to go to the beach or do some fishing. Many people will also gather the family to sit in the sun and watch a Memorial Day Parade which is a staple in smalltown America. And for those who like a bit more high-octane entertainment, the Indianapolis 500 takes place this Sunday, May 28th.

It is undeniable that Memorial Day brings to mind picnics, parades, and a long weekend. But it is important to remember the significance behind this holiday.

Memorial Day is a time for Americans to take a moment to reflect and pay respect to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It reminds us to be grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy. Perhaps a great plan for a Memorial Day weekend is some relaxing time with friends and family, and also taking part in an activity or an event to honor our military heroes.

A banner states that emorial Day is a time to remember and honor.

The National Moment of Remembrance

There are many family-friendly activities that you can do this Memorial Day that are both fun, and that also are in the spirit of the holiday, which is to honor the men and women who have lost their lives during military service.

One free Memory Day Activity you can participate in is the National Moment of Remembrance. This takes place at 3:00 PM local time, and it asks for Americans to pause and reflect for one minute to remember those who have died in military service to the United States. The specific time of 3:00 PM was selected because it is a time that many people have off of work. The National Moment of Remembrance was introduced in 1996 in response to most people not knowing the significance of Memorial Day. A poll of Americans from that time showed that less than 30% of people knew the true meaning behind Memorial Day. Will you participate in The National Moment of Remembrance this year? It is a simple yet powerful way to show gratitude and feel a sense of patriotism.

Fly your flag

Another activity you can do to help celebrate Memorial Day 2023 is to display the flag. Do you have an American flag at home? If so, Memorial Day is the perfect time to display it!

According to a 2020 poll, about half of Americans have an American flag at home. If you own a flag, then you probably know the special rules of how to display it correctly. But just to be sure, let’s have a quick review.

The first thing to consider when flying the flag is orientation. When displaying the flag on a flagpole, the union (the blue field with stars) should be at the peak of the staff, with the stripes flowing downward. When hanging the flag horizontally or vertically against a wall or window, the union should be on the viewer’s left.

The next thing to remember is lighting. If you display the flag at night, you should make sure that the flag is illuminated enough so that it can be easily recognized.

And lastly, make sure to never display a flag that is dirty or damaged.

With these rules in mind, you can help celebrate Memoial Day by displaying your American flag.

DealDash: Best Inventory Liquidation

Great News from DealDash Headquarters! Our passion for excess inventory liquidation will be recognized at the 2021 Global Brand Awards

We are beyond excited to receive the award for “Best Excess Inventory Liquidation Service – USA” at the 9th annual award ceremony held by Global Brands Magazine. These awards shine a light on global companies across a broad range of sectors whose excellent work deserves recognition in the branding world and beyond.

DealDash is the Best Excess Inventory Liquidation Service
DealDash was awarded the Best Excess Inventory Liquidation Service in the USA in 2021 by Global Brand Magazine.

DealDash impressed the evaluators in the fields of customer service, satisfaction, digital innovation, strategic relationships and new business development.

CEO of Global Brands Magazine Shiv Kumar commented, “We had quite a few contenders for the Best Excess Inventory Liquidation Service award. DealDash is a frontrunner in perfecting the gamification model and building a stellar reputation for customer service, distinguishing it from its peers.”

Best in Inventory Liquidation

Our efforts to liquidate excess inventory from overcrowded warehouses and stock rooms around the world has made us a global frontrunner in this field. Since 2009, we have helped move nearly 2 Million items through our pay-to-bid auctions. And it is something we are incredibly passionate about.

What is “Inventory Liquidation”?

Excess inventory liquidation is the act of selling off excess stock and unsold merchandise. Liquidating excess inventory is a great way to free up capital and storage room for new products. We help find new homes for these unsold products so that companies can focus on what’s next.

Inventory Liquidation and Sustainability

When excess inventory isn’t liquidated, it can end up in long-term storage, landfills, or even incinerated. Liquidating excess inventory allows companies to get their products to consumers that they oftentimes would not have been able to reach. This helps save both the products, and the environment.

How does DealDash approach Inventory Liquidation?

Our approach to inventory liquidation is simple: we purchase excess inventory in bulk from warehouses and storage across the country. We then sell these items to our customers through our auction site, often at savings of 90% or more. It’s a win-win-win.

Amazing Customer Experience

While we pride ourselves on our work in the field of inventory liquidation, we have always been a customer first company. Still, being recognized for our work in excess inventory liquidation is an honor for our CEO Pasi Lohi, who said:

“This award is validation that the work we do has true value. While the award is for inventory liquidation, we see it as recognition of an amazing customer experience, which starts with our suppliers throughout the country, extends to our partners across the globe, and provides great savings to our end customers. This collaboration keeps our customers satisfied, our business partners happy, and our stakeholders smiling.”

Today, we are the longest running and most trusted provider in our category.

The Value of Customer Experience

We value our customers. Throughout the years, we have found success through building strategic partnerships with producers and suppliers across the globe and helping them liquidate their excess inventory. The success of these partnerships ensures that we can focus on our end customers, and not only help them save money, but provide them an unbeatable customer experience.

World Class Customer Service

With 20 Million registered users, our customers remain to be our number one priority. That’s why we have invested heavily into Customer Service, providing the absolute best service possible and enhancing the customer experience from start to finish. These efforts are reflected by ratings on Better Business Bureau and TrustPilot.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR DEALDASH?

Winning this award has made it clear that we do more than just help people save money on quality products. We are hard at work finding new ways to bring our passion for sustainability, charity, and customer experience to life.

All while bringing you some of the best deals you can find anywhere on the internet.

Is DealDash Good Enough For You?

You’re simply the best! Better than all the rest, better than anyone I’ve ever met…

The great pop singer Tina Turner sang these words in her 1991 hit song, “The Best”. The classic tune tells the story of an unforgettable love. What was Tina trying to say and how does that relate to DealDash? Put it this way: being the best is celebrated. People are fascinated with the top of the class and that’s probably the reason why the song was so popular in the first place! Think about it, everywhere you look the best is being celebrated! Every two years countries from around the world send their best athletes to the Olympic Games to determine who is the best runner, swimmer, weightlifter…I could spend the rest of this blog listing the different events and run out of room before I named them all!

A proud dog accepts a trophy at a dog show.
Being the best is an important accomplishment…and not just for people!

Many restaurants claim to be the best or have the best cup of coffee in the world. Even our beloved canine friends get an elaborate awards ceremony complete with global television coverage and trophies each year when the prestigious Westminster Dog Show is held. But you are not here to read about dogs, you are here to shop. Is DealDash good enough for you? We think the answer is a resounding Yes! We aim for being the best in show and we have proof that we are in fact, the best!

Thousands of shouting voices!

It’s easy for us to sit back and shout from the rooftops about how great we are. If someone asks us if DealDash is good enough, we shout, “Yes we are!” But thankfully, more important people have weighed in on this topic. You don’t have to listen to us scream about how great we are, listen to the thousands of reviews that people have left for us! If you’ve read this blog before, you know that we love to talk about the wonderful things our customer say about us.

A man uses his laptop to leave a five star online review.
Is DealDash good enough? We asked and you gave a resounding, ”yes!”.

Today is no different! Deal Dash has been reviewed over four thousand times on the mega-popular review website SiteJabber. SiteJabber is a popular review platform that helps people find trustworthy businesses and avoid scams. When you look at the 4,160 reviews DealDash has on SiteJabber and combine the ratings to create an average score, DealDash has 4.5 out of 5 stars. We are grateful for all of you who have taken the time to give us some feedback and share what you like and what you think we can do better. We are listening and we thank you for helping us create the best shopping experience possible!

Willing to go above and beyond

At DealDash we have a Team of dedicated folks who go above and beyond for our customers. Is DealDash good at providing exceptional service? Yes! Our Customer Support Team is the best in town and here to help 24 hours a day. For example one DealDash customer mentioned that they were involved in collecting goods and clothes to help out the homeless and we arranged to send them hundreds of pairs of socks! The Artsy Auctions Shirley Loves To Bid On!

We continue on the series of presenting our customers. Now it’s time to hear what Shirley says about bidding on her favorite online auction. Based on the chat we had with her, Shirley loves all the artsy auctions she’s won. She is reminded daily of her previous wins by the artwork, sculptures and clocks on her wall. The decorations are something she feels she wouldn’t have afforded in the retail market herself:

My best memory is an accumulation of all these wonderful things that I’ve been able to acquire. Items I would never be able to get in the retail market. The artwork in my home, the sculptures, the clocks – they’re all well made, they look gorgeous and it makes my home that much better.
