Going for it vs. Staying Safe when Bidding

There is a popular belief that when bidding at DealDash you should start easy and slow by only bidding on items under $200 and on things that you really need or want. While this is good rule of thumb, it’s not a rule.  Here are a few things to keep in mind if you’re planning on “going for it” in spite of being a “Newbie”.

The first thing to do is buy bids when they are on sale. There are blogs on Google Plus and posts on the DealDash Facebook Page which will outline all the sales.  You will also receive an email about the sales once you become a registered user.  You can usually get bids as low as .12 cents at least once a week.  Every once in a while, you can even get bids for .11 cents each.  So, when bids are at the weeks low, buy.  You will get a few hundred extra bids for the same price when you do.

Next, always shop first! Find the items you wish to win and bookmark them.  Deal Dash has a Bookmark Feature that is placed in the upper right hand corner of each auction right on the main page. Doing this keeps you from bidding on items you don’t really want or can’t win.  If there are more than one, bookmark them all…it gives you options:)

Do your homework! Go into each auction you wish to win and figure the average selling price.  This is very important, but not an exact science.  Here you can learn if an auction ever sold for pennies, or if it usually goes for much more.   Most auctions contain this information, simply get the sum of the sold items and divide by the number of items.  You are left with the average.  Tip: If it sold for pennies a few times, don’t pay more than a few pennies, it doesn’t work to get into a bidding war with someone who will eat all your bids, and there is always another one right around the corner.

See what’s “trending” on the “Winner’s List” Use the Winner’s List Tab to your advantage. If all items are currently selling for more than pennies, it is likely you will not pay pennies.  If there are a few to half a dozen selling for pennies in the past hour, it’s a great time to bid.

Now, use the “Who’s on Their Limit” tab.  It costs one bid, but it’s worth it beyond words! The longer the list; the less players in the field.  A long list means a lot of players have reached their limit and can’t participate in the auctions.  This helps a lot when the same guy keeps beating you.  Bid when he’s on the list! Also, look at the number of Avatars for players, count them and if there are more than 50, don’t get involved, tomorrow there will be the same auction and only 20 people will be in it!

One last tip: No matter what you bid on at DealDash, all your bids have the same value, the prize values are what vary.  If you use 100 bids to win a $150 item, good for you.  If you use 100 bids to win a $1500 item, great for you!

Go for the big ticket item, you deserve it.  It’s great fun to win it and why not?  No reason at all….

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Winning is This Easy at Deal Dash!

The Best thing you can do to win auctions at DealDash is to be in the auction.  If you’re notin it your won’t win it.   This is on of the best pieces of advice I can give you. But if it’s a couple of secrets you’re looking for, there are better times to bid than others.  Another thought to keep in mind is if it’s worth the research to find it, plan the purchase and show up for the auction, it’s  really worth your while to stay in it and win it! The best time to bid is in fact mid day, mid week.  Then is a kind of lull between who just got paid and who didn’t.  I find that very few “wealthy” people play at Deal Dash, we are all generally middle income.

There are usually more than one type of the same item to bid on, so at first, you need to find the least popular of the items.  Let’s say it a grill, there are many grills for sale at Deal Dash.  Go for the low pried grill first, I won the single burner propane grill for a few bids and a few cents.  I then went on to BIN the Lodge Cast Iron Grill.  This is the best grill I’ve ever owned.  It’s a Hibachi!

I remember a Hibachi from the 70’s and 80’s that was kind-of cheap and you could buy them over the meat display at the grocery store.  This Hibachi is nothing like that, and I’ve never seen it anywhere else than Deal Dash. It’s valued at about $129, I binned it and got all my bids back.  It’s such a relief when you don’t win an item to go ahead and buy it, you just have a big sigh of relief and move on with your new bids and your new item.  Win-Win!!

Another thing I’ve learned at Deal Dash is it really isn’t worth bidding much on bids.  If you buy bids to win bids, you lose bids doing it.  So, here is my best advice on bidding on bids.  If you don’t win it with 50 bids or less, just walk away.  Don’t plan on coming back later, don’t get involved….there are so many players who only play for bids, it’s actually a rookie mistake, but I  was addicted to it for months, now I won’t even get in a battle for bids, I like the bids I purchased too  much!

There are so many ways to strategize at DealDash, but the best thing you can do is keep your head above water by not “spreading yourself too thin”  I’ve done this many times, I get involved in 8-10 auctions and I lose 3 because I can’t pay attention to all of them.

It just does not pay to “spread yourself too thin”  The other mistake I found myself doings bidding on items I won’t BIN, the truth is if you are not willing to BIN, you are willing to lose the bids because you can’t win them all!  And the most important tip is, if you buy the bids, it doesn’t guarantee you’ll win, you have to work at it.  Be willing to walk away, be willing to lose some and the rewards are exponential.  I have won over 480 prizes in 2 years, that’s a phenomenal amount of goods! You can do it too!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

BIN it or WIN it on DealDash

Have you ever been in an auction and realized that you are so far in over your head you will be paying WAY more than an item is worth if you win it? Then BIN it!

Here’s a little riddle for you: What’s worse than losing an auction? Winning an auction and paying more than the retail price! Okay, that was a terrible riddle, but it really is a terrible sinking feeling when you realize that you “won” the auction but overbid by more than the BIN (Buy It Now) price.

If you want to avoid that horrible feeling, it’s easy! You just have to do a little bit of DealDash math. All you have to do to keep your head above water when bidding is calculate how many bids will equal the BIN price before the auction even starts. After you have figured out the magic number of bids that you are willing to put into an auction to get to the BIN price simply put that amount of bids into your BidBuddy. Of course, this only works on a day when they are having free auctions, if it’s a regular day and you have to pay the final auction price, then you must also calculate that in with the price of bids.

Once your BidBuddy has run out of bids and you aren’t willing to put in any more bids into the auction then it’s time to use the trusty BIN feature that DealDash offers. Just hit the “Buy It Now” button, pay the retail price that is listed on each auction, and you will receive all of the bids back that you spent, get to keep the clock time that you accumulated while bidding, and get the item very quickly in the mail with free shipping. It’s win-win-win-win!

I hope that instead of feeling sad about mis-spent bids that next time you take advantage of the BIN feature that DealDash offers and get all of your bids back to try again on another auction. Pay attention to what you’re doing, check out the auctions ,and use your BidBuddy. See you on DealDash everyone! Good luck and happy bidding.

There’s Nothing Like Trying Something New

If you’ve been bidding for some time at DealDash you have a “style” of bidding, you like to bid that way and it’s worked for you.  But I like to try new things all the time.  I especially love when Deal Dash gives us new features to help us win. It will spark an idea to tweak my bidding style.

When I first came to Deal Dash I didn’t use the Buy It Now Option, I always just bought more bids, well, I tried the BIN option and wow, what a relief to get all my bids back, I ended up having the item I wanted and I got the bids back.  During this time I missed out on a few items, but from what I know about DealDash customer service, I’m sure they would have helped me resolve that issue.  They really do aim to please.

I love the new Bookmark Feature, it really helps me stay organized when I am bidding in multiple auctions.  If I’m only in one or two it may not be necessary, but it does help to keep you active auction at the top of your page.  You click the little white star in the upper right hand corner of the auction on the main page, it will turn yellow and there it is atop your page.

I used to love the Free Auctions, but I’ve found now I prefer the 50% and full price auctions because less players will overbid, and that will help the auction end sooner.  The Free Auction is really cool because you win an item for one penny, but really it is harder to win really popular or trendy items during these events, so you have to have patience!

If you aren’t using the “Winner’s List” as a tool, that is a great thing to try new.  It’s a lot more than just some fun information, you can really learn from this info.  First, what’s trending in terms of prices, is everything ending low or high? Who’s playing is good to know.  You may want to stay away from a certain player.

It might be time for a new comment on your profile.  This is a great place to express yourself, but better than that as a strategy to make other players change their actions.  I love the one where the player claims to “stay to the end” and they always win early because the never stay in an auction more than 20 bids, it’s a strategy and it works for them.  It would be nice to see this person in it for the long haul and win something more substantial, that would be trying something new.  That strategy is great for prizes under $500, but may be rare in winning anything over that.

Don’t get stuck in a rut when you are bidding at DealDash, they always put out new prizes,   new features and new sales for us to enjoy.  The prices for bids are the best on the web.  I have seen bids lower, but they don’t offer the number of prizes nor the quality of the site.  Deal Dash has such an easy to use platform and the features work well and you can win a lot of prizes bidding here.  To top that off all items are delivered FREE!

Good Luck and Happy Trying Something New!!!
