Playstation Rules the Gaming World

Has the word “PlayStation” invaded your vocabulary? Do you have a child over the age of about 5? Let’s Play!

Who among us has never played a PlayStation game, be it with your child, your buddies, or even just to blow off some steam of a hard day’s work? Let’s just say that you enjoy the Sony PlayStation because your children like it. I don’t know about your kids, but my son is crazy for the Disney INFINITY video game series. Here’s how it works:

You can star in an original Disney adventure, in which you’ll battle enemies, solve puzzles, conquer obstacles and complete a variety of other exciting quests, all by placing your INFINITY figures onto the Base. As easy as that you can transport yourself to the worlds of your favorite Disney movies! There are all kinds to choose from, in the example in the above paragraph, Mr. Incredible from The Incredibles, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Sulley from Monsters Inc are all included in the set. You can mix and match unique combinations of characters, buildings, weapons, gadgets and more in the virtual Toy Box to build an entire new game world of your own imagination. It’s really a lot of fun, you can play with 1-4 players age 6+.

If children’s games aren’t your cup of tea, and you thirst for adventure instead, how about picking up a copy of The Last of Us for PlayStation? The Last of Us blends elements of survival and action, and defines the survival adventure genre by placing you in the heart of the adventure to outlast a modern plague on your journey across the decimated United States. You play as Joel, a survivor, and Ellie, a teenage girl, you must work together to fend off dangerous foes, terrifying enemies and other survivors who will do anything to save themselves.

Of course, maybe you aren’t interested in children’s games or adventure– How about sports? PlayStation has one of the best selection of sports titles, there’s EA SPORTS UFCGran Turismo 5 (if you are the sort that thinks racing is a sport!), or Madden NFL 25 just to name a few.

Sony gives us such a great variety of games, and they also don’t disappoint on accessories! There’s a  PlayStation Camera for the PS4, a DUALSHOCK 4 Controller, a Controller Charging Station, and many more.

Almost everyone knows that PlayStation is a Sony brand, but did you know that the “PlayStation” brand was first introduced on December 3, 1994 (in Japan) with the launch of the original PlayStation console? The Playstation (PS2) was released 6 years later in the year 2000. Since then we have seen two more new PlayStation consoles, the PS3 in 2006, and the PS4 in 2013, where it sold 1 million consoles in its first 24 hours available, becoming the fastest selling console in history. Now that’s a lot of PlayStation fun!

If you love games, why don’t you head on over to DealDash and see what PlayStation auctions are currently running? Not a day goes by that I don’t see at least one PlayStation product, be it a game or an accessory. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Enjoying the Outdoors with Ozark Trail

If you’re like me, you are planning some fun outdoors activities with your family this summer. Some of the best family trips I remember taking when I was a kid have something to do with camping!

Be it a full-on camping vacation or just a night out under the stars in your backyard, camping is great for making lasting memories with your family.  If you are looking for a great tent to get you started, try an Ozark Trail tent. Ozark Trail is a well-known brand name on the camping circuit, having been around for quite a while. Ozark Trail tents offer a range of tents for various camping purposes, which include among others differing sizes of cabin tents for the family camping trip such as the 4-Person Tunnel Tent or for those that require a little more space, try the Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent , a true family tent which offers spacious accommodation for large groups such as extended family and friends.

If you’re a camping “newbie” here are a few helpful hints and tricks to get you started in the right direction-

  • Make sure that you stay hydrated, Three to five quarts of water per day will prevent dehydration, which can cause headaches, nausea and muscle cramps.
  • Even if it’s hot during the day it can get chilly at night. Fill your water bottle with boiling hot water, wrap it in a towel, and put it in your sleeping bag a few minutes before you climb in. This makes for toasty warm sleeping quarters.
  • Practice pitching your tent before you leave. Even though  Ozark Trail brand tents are easy to assemble it will give you peace of mind to know that you can successfully pitch your tent before you leave for your trip.
  • If comfort is a must, consider a cot system and a larger tent. They require more room, but cots paired with pads and a sleeping bag can make for a wonderful night’s sleep.
  • If cots aren’t your thing, be sure to at least put a tarp on the ground before you pitch your tent, it will provide a slight cushion as well as protecting you from dampness.

Camping isn’t everyone’s passion, of course. If your idea of fun centers more around home than the wilderness then you could give Ozark Trail‘s Express Canopy a try. It’s a great portable shelter that’s easy to put up and take down. It’s great for an afternoon at the lake, tailgating at the football game, or even just in your backyard at home. My personal favorite use for the Express Canopy is in the backyard as a sun shade for my kids when they play outside in the summer. There’s nothing worse than cranky kids with sunburns, and the Express Canopy shades them from the sun but still let’s them play with all of the fun outdoor summer toys like the sandbox and water table.

It doesn’t matter if tent camping or a canopy in the backyard is more your style, I think that we can all agree that  Ozark Trail Chair or the Ozark Trail camping chair could be useful in both situations. They are both light, portable chairs that are weatherproof and comfortable to sit on. These chairs are great to stick in your trunk if you’re going to the beach. They fold almost flat like an umbrella and pop right open ready to sit on.

If you’re ready to explore the world (or just your own backyard!) Head on over to DealDash. There are great Ozark Trail auctions starting soon. Be sure that you have enough bids in your account to stack your Bid Buddy up to the Buy It Now (BIN) price. Just remember, if you don’t win the auction you can always BIN the item and get all of your bids back instantly. Good luck and happy bidding everyone.

Xbox is for Everyone

If you took a poll of 20 teenage guys I bet 19 of them would say that they enjoy playing Xbox. However, Xbox isn’t just for teen guys, read on…

Xbox One is Microsoft’s newest Xbox console, but lots of people still enjoy playing the Xbox 360 , including my Aunt! She is 64 years old and you should see her playing Minecraft on her 360, she is just as good as any teenage kid out there! Most ladies her age would rather be reading, doing puzzles, or knitting, but Aunty loves Xbox. She originally bought the Xbox 360 to have at her house when her grand kids came over to visit, but little by little she got hooked on the great graphics and fun story lines of some of the different games.

Of course, there are plenty of games out for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 that don’t appeal to her such as the Grand Theft Auto series. However, there are plenty of games available for people of all ages from Elementary school age, such as Angry Birds: Star Wars to fun family games like Kinect Sports Rivals that everyone can enjoy. One favorite series at my house is all of the Lego themed games such as The Lego Movie Video game (yes, that’s really what it’s called!), Lego The Hobbit, and my Son’s personal favorite – LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

The original Xbox (not the 360, the one before that) was the first video game console offered by an American company after the Atari Jaguar stopped sales in 1996.  The original Xbox was released on November 15, 2001 in the United States, and has sold over 24 million units.  Microsoft’s second console, the Xbox 360, was released in 2005 and has sold over 77.2 million consoles worldwide. The successor to the Xbox 360 and Microsoft’s most recent console, the Xbox One,  was revealed on May 21, 2013. The Xbox One has a large emphasis on internet-based features; including the ability to record and stream game play, and the ability to integrate with a set-top box to watch cable or satellite TV through the console.

One of the most interesting and innovative features of the Xbox 360 and Xbox One is the Kinect controller. The Kinect is a motion-sensing controller, similar to the Wii Plus Remote, except the Kinect can also be controlled by by voice, which is definitely a step up in my opinion.

Now that I have told you a little bit about my family and how we enjoy the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, why don’t you head on over to DealDash and see what Xbox auctions are currently running? Not a day goes by that I don’t see at least one Xbox product, be it a game or accessory. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
