Welcome to DealDash! We’re so glad that you decided to get started with DealDash. You’re going to have a lot of fun, win some awesome auctions, and enjoy your newest hobby. Getting started is simple, but you might need a bit of advice on how the website works so you can put your best foot forward and get in on the action. Here are some quick tips to get you going.

Buy Bids First

The first thing that you’ll need to do before you can enter an auction is to buy bids. Buying bids is fast and simple, you can pay with a credit card, debit card, or Paypal. There are many bid packs to choose from. They are available in different numbers of bids. Currently offered are packs of 60, 300, 600, 1200, and 2400. The prices of the bids change quite often, DealDash has many different sales throughout the week. Once you have purchased your bids you can get on to the fun stuff!

Set Up Your Bidder Profile

Your bidder profile is comprised of two parts – your bidder bio and your bidder avatar. Your bidder bio is just a few sentences about yourself, what you like to win, or just about anything as long as it’s friendly. You don’t have to fill this part out of you don’t want to, but it is encouraged so you can feel more connected to the other bidders.

Your avatar also needs to be selected. You can pick out an avatar from the pre-made choices, or upload your own. You can choose just about anything to be your avatar, but do remember that uploaded images are subject to approval and may not be immediately visible on the site. Don’t bother trying to upload anything mean-spirited, bullying, or not family-friendly. All of the avatars are approved or disapproved by DealDash employees.

Learn How to Use the BidBuddy

Putting your best foot forward includes learning how to use the tools that DealDash offers to every bidder. One of the best tools around is the BidBuddy automated bidder. You will find the BidBuddy on every auction. Just open up the item’s page, and you will see BidBuddy there waiting for you.

Just fill in that little rectangle that says “Add bids here” and click “Book a BidBuddy” and you’ll be on your way to winning the auction! You can even step away from your computer and the BidBuddy will continue bidding for you until all of the bids that you added have been exhausted. Put your best foot forward, and be sure to use the BidBuddy.

Why Bidders Like Me are Loyal to DealDash

There’s something to said for customer loyalty to a particular brand. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for a freebie or a good deal anywhere I go, but there are some things I simply will not compromise on. For me, there are no substitutes for real butter, Downy fabric softener and DealDash. No amount of coupons, cajoling or convincing will get me to waver from these three to try something else. While I’ve been using Downy and real butter for decades, my brand loyalty to DealDash started building just 18 months ago and in that time I’ve come to realize why it earns a place in my “no substitutes must-haves.”

User-friendly Website

While there are certainly other reputable penny auction sites out there—and I have logged on to check them out—most are cluttered, difficult to figure out, and downright confusing. DealDash offers a clear and concise website with visible products and detailed descriptions. They offer a Tips & Tricks tabs to guide you through the process and helpful suggestions that actually work and a customer-written blog (you’re reading one now!) that share real user tips and experiences on DealDash. I appreciate the transparency of DealDash to their customers. They want you to win! With DealDash, you can literally jump right in and bid. I have spent many hours on other sites, browsing and hunting to figure out how to navigate their sites. I won’t waste my time or money on other sites.

Quality Merchandise You Can’t Find Anywhere Else

I love that DealDash hosts merchandise you can’t find at your local stores. From state-of-the art electronics to home furnishings, beautiful jewelry and paintings, DealDash is a treasure trove of items you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. It’s a great way to treat yourself or a loved one with a unique and quality-made gift. DealDash also offers gift cards to many popular businesses like WalMart, JCPenney, Kmart and restaurants like Red Robin, Subway and Outback Steakhouse to name just a few. DealDash has it all.

Commitment to Customer Satisfaction

If there’s one thing that makes a customer loyal to a particular brand, it’s customer service. DealDash has an easily accessible and prompt-to-respond Customer Service Department that clearly listens to its customers, cares what they have to say and takes into consideration their thoughts and ideas—in fact, they encourage it! They are constantly seeking feedback from their customers through social media, online surveys, their customer service department and through consultant surveys. Through this customer interaction, DealDash is committed to evolving and making the site enjoyable to its users. With DealDash, they customer is always right—and always treated with respect.

The DealDash Community

DealDash has a following and an online social media presence that brings in the sharing and celebration of strategies and wins amongst its users. It’s a whole lot of fun for everyone and it’s a way to stay current with DealDash trends and topics.

Don’t Be Intimidated on DealDash

Being new on DealDash can be a little scary. Don’t let others intimidate you. Here are some tips and tricks to help you.

Have you ever been the new kid at school? If so, you probably felt a little scared and intimidated, especially if you were bullied. DealDash does not allow bullying, so please report it to customer service if you witness or are a victim of any bullying on DealDash. DealDash wants everyone to have a fun time bidding and winning auctions. However, some players take it very seriously, and that can be a little intimidating. Here are some ideas to help.

Just Dive Right In

The best way to get over feeling intimidated when you’re new is to just dive right into the auctions, and get a feel for how things work. My advice is to pick a small or lower-valued item or a gift card, and bid on it and see how things go. You have a fairly good chance of winning a small or lower-valued item so you can see how bidding and winning work. A gift card is also a great thing to bid on when you’re feeling a little unsure of yourself because you can always take advantage of the BIN (Buy It Now) feature.

What is Buy It Now?

The BIN feature is on all DealDash auctions. When you are bidding on an item and are certain that you aren’t going to win but you have already used a lot of bids on it, then you can BIN. BIN means that you pay the retail price of the item or the face value of the gift card, and DealDash will return all of the bids that you used on the item, as well as ship it to you for free. It’s a great way to get over feeling intimidated because you can’t lose, you always have a way to get your bids back.

Learn All About DealDash

Another great way to get over any feelings of intimidation is to learn everything that you can about DealDash. Once you know all of the ins and outs and eccentricities of DealDash you’ll have no reason to feel intimidated anymore, even if you are the “new kid” on DealDash.

Sometimes Winning is Tricky

Sometimes winning auctions can be tricky. Are you making mistakes that are keeping you from winning more auctions?

In life, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It’s the same on DealDash. Occasionally it seems to me that I bid and bid and can’t seem to win. While getting on a losing streak is never fun, it’s a good chance to examine your behavior and habits on DealDash. Are you doing things to contribute to your losses? Let’s take a peek and see.

Are you Over Extending Yourself?

Are you bidding in more than 2 or 3 auctions at a time? This isn’t a good idea, no matter how you go about it. Bidding on more than a couple of auctions at a time does not increase your chances of winning an auction, it only increases your chance to waste bids. The exception to this is if you are bidding up to the BIN (Buy It Now) price every time.

If you are trying to place bids here and there on many auctions at a time, it’s not going to end up positively for you, unless you happen to get lucky. The best practice is to only bid in a couple of auctions at a time. This way you can give them your full attention. Personally, I try to never bid in more than 2 auctions at a time, unless I have completely filled up my BidBuddy and plan on bidding up to the BIN price.

Paying Close Attention is a Must

This goes hand-in-hand with only bidding in a few auctions at a time. You need to stay alert and concentrate on the auctions that you are bidding in. If you get distracted with life and wander away from the auctions you will find yourself losing. If you can’t pay close attention to the auctions that you are in, be sure that you load up your BidBuddy and let him bid for you while you are busy with your other chores.

Open Up the Individual Auction Pages

Don’t bid from the main home screen of DealDash! You need to open up each individual auction’s page if you want to win. If you’re not opening up the actual auction and just bidding from the main home screen then it’s unlikely that you’ll win. If you like to bid on more than 1 auction at once, open up multiple tabs or windows on your computer. Bidding from the home screen puts you at a huge disadvantage.

Opening up each auction offers you key information to help you win. You can see what the item has previously sold for, the reviews on the item if there are any, and you can set the BidBuddy. The BidBuddy is the only way that you’re going to have any real success on DealDash.

You Can’t Win Them All – BIN is Your Friend

Don’t lose twice. Using a lot of bids on an auction and then not using the BIN (Buy It Now) feature if you don’t win the auction is just like losing all over again. When you BIN an auction that you didn’t win, you get exactly the amount of bids that you placed back in your account to use again, as well as free shipping on the product. Since you have everything back that you originally started with, you break even.
