Who Has a Sports Fan at Home?

dealdash-loves-sports DealDash has lots of great presents for the sports lover in your life. Here are some gift suggestions that you can use.

Do you know a sports lover? Do you have a child in soccer, a grandchild that loves basketball, or maybe a husband who just can’t get enough football? If you’re struggling to find them the perfect gift this year DealDash can help. When you get someone in your family sports equipment for a Christmas gift it’s like getting the whole family a gift, since most sports equipment is more fun when used by more than one person. Here are some gift suggestions from DealDash.

Luckily for you, DealDash has so many different sports equipment auctions. No matter if your sports fans enjoy tennis, swimming, trampoline-jumping, or all of the above, DealDash has the auction for you!

If your favorite sports fan loves basketball, DealDash has you covered! DealDash has both Indoor basketball hoops and outdoor basketball hoops as well. Basketball is a great family activity, because you can have as many or few players as you like. Basketball provides a great workout and is really fun, too.  One of the things that I like best about having a basketball hoop at home is the kids can run around like crazy while playing basketball, or the whole family can play “Horse” together and it requires no running – which is a definite perk for me!

We Love Our Brothers

Do you sew? One of the best companies for sewing machines is Brother, and guess who has them? Here’s a hint. It’s DealDash.

Do you or your wife, mother, daughter, Grandmother, or even your husband, brother, or friend enjoy sewing? Sewing is a hobby for many people now, but 100 years ago it was a necessity. And do you know what company has been around for 100 (108, actually) years? Brother! The Brother company was started in 1908 when the Yasui Sewing Machine Co. was established in Nagoya, Japan. In 1954, Brother International Corporation (US) was established as their first overseas sales affiliate.

I consider myself a fairly advanced sewist – I have been sewing since I was 15 years old, and I am 36 now. I have owned a few different brands of sewing machine, but time and again I come back to Brother when I decide to upgrade my machine.

DealDash has a lovely selection of Brother brand sewing machines up for auction. DealDash even has one of my all-time favorite Brother machines – the Brother 60-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine. I had a Brother 60-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine for 10 years, and I gave it away to a friend while it was still in perfect working order so I could upgrade. If you get the Brother 60-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine from DealDash you will have a sewing machine that is easy to use and amazingly durable. You can check out this awesome machine at this link here.

Another favorite of mine is the Brother Computerized Sewing and Embroidery Machine SE 400. I have another much higher priced embroidery machine made by Singer, but this compact SE 400 is so easy and quick to use I find myself using this one more than my higher end machine. DealDash has the Brother Computerized Sewing and Embroidery Machine SE 400 at this link here if you would like to check it out.

DealDash has even more sewing and embroidery machines available for auction.  You can find both regular sewing machine and embroidery machines on DealDash at this link.

Thanks for reading, and I hope that I inspired you to either get out your machine and start sewing, or get a new machine from DealDash! Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This is my last blog to you before Christmas, tomorrow is Christmas Eve! It truly is a wonderful time of year and we all have so much to be thankful for.

Personally, I have had a wonderful year this time around, and though the year isn’t quite over yet I keenly feel extremely thankful around Christmas time. I would also like to thank DealDash for having so many wonderful auctions this year, I have won some very nice items, and this has allowed me to treat my family and friends to much better gifts than I would have normally been able to get them.

In addition to the actual goods that I have been able to get them, I have also gotten many gift cards at a great discount, at one point this year I had over $500 in Toys R Us gift cards that I had gotten from DealDash for a fraction of that amount. I believe that I used the BIN (Buy It Now) feature a couple of times, however when you use the BIN feature you get all of your bids back when you buy the gift card at face value, as well as free shipping AND you get to keep your “time as the highest bidder”, so it’s really a win-win situation even if you don’t win.

What are some of your traditions on Christmas Eve? In my family we have always let the kids open one small present on Christmas Eve, and then we go for a drive before bedtime and look at all of the beautiful Christmas lights. I have heard about other traditions such as each child gets a new set of pajamas on Christmas Eve, some other people do traditions with food.

If your family doesn’t have any special traditions yet, how about starting some? I know that while we are driving around on Christmas Eve looking at lights I am thinking about when I was a child and my family would be doing the same thing. It feels good to pass on traditions that my kids will probably continue when they grow up and have their own families.

That’s about it, everyone. If you are still looking for any last minute gifts head on over to DealDash and check out what they have up for auction today. It probably won’t arrive before Christmas, but it will get to you quickly and safely. Merry Christmas Everyone! Stay tuned for my next blog on Saturday!

Great Christmas Gift Series: Gift Cards

Welcome to DealDash’s “Great Christmas Gifts.” series –  If you’re a person who struggles every year trying to think of gifts to get your family and friends, this series is for YOU!

Well, if you still haven’t figured out what to get for the absolute hardest people to shop for on your list, I guess it’s come down to gift cards! Some people think that gift cards are a little too impersonal, kind of like giving cash, but if you are able to tailor the specific gift card to the person’s interests and tastes then it becomes less impersonal, and more like a great idea!

The first thing that you should think about when choosing a gift card for someone is what their specific interests are. It wouldn’t make any sense to get a couch potato a gift card to a sporting goods store, now would it? DealDash has tons of gift cards for just about every type of interest that a person could have. I have prepared a handy list of people that you might be shopping for and gift card choices that might work for them (each of the options are clickable to take you directly to the DealDash page):

Mom/Grandma: Barnes & Noble,  Kohl’s

Dad/Grandpa: Advance Auto Parts, Lowe’s

Brother/Uncle: Gamestop, Cabela Sports

Sister/Aunt: American Eagle, Bath & Body Works

Of course, there are probably tons of people on your list that you really don’t know all that well but you would like to get them a little something anyway – such as a teacher, co-worker, mailman, neighbor, or friend of a friend. For these types of people I suggest $10 gift cards from places such as:

Dunkin’ Donuts

Subway

Wal*Mart

CVS

As I said before, though, gift cards can be thought of as a little impersonal for a close family member, so I would suggest that if you are going to go with a gift card then you might want to pair it with something small that you know they like such as a favorite candy bar or some lottery tickets. However, for a person that you don’t see too often or don’t know that well personally they are a great gift to let them know that you thought about them during the holidays

If you are interested in seeing even more gift cards from many different places and in many different denominations, check out DealDash’s Gift Card section. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Great Christmas Gift Series: Let’s Talk Legos

Welcome to DealDash’s “Great Christmas Gifts.” series –  If you’re a person who struggles every year trying to think of gifts to get your family and friends, this series is for YOU!

Up until now we have mostly been talking about great Christmas gift ideas for older teens and adults. However, as everyone knows, the people who tend to get the most enjoyment out of Christmas is kids! Especially younger kids. In face, there are some grouchy people out there (Looking at you, Hubby!!) that think that Christmas gifts are JUST for kids!! Well, I don’t believe that, but I do think that shopping for kids can really be the most fun experience of the year, along with watching them open their presents on Christmas morning.

                                                                     1988

The first gift that I would like to highlight is really good for most ages of kids, as long as they are past the “putting things in their mouth” toddler stage – Legos! Every single kid that I have ever had the fun of interacting with loves Legos. When I was a kid back in the dark ages of the 1980s there really wasn’t a lot of Lego variety. They were mostly primary colors, and while they were unisex they were mostly marketed at little boys., though there were definitely some cool space sets that both genders could enjoy. Well, times have changed! Now there are Legos of every color, and so many different sets that encompass so many different interests of boys, girls, and both!

LEGO Disney Princess Cinderella's Dream Carriage Building Set

For example, above there is a picture of a great Lego set that was specifically targeted at girls that’s subject is Cinderella. It’s great for girls 6+, however my daughter has similar Lego sets that she absolutely loves and she’s only 4. Like I said, as long as kids are past the “chokables” stage of life, Lego is good for all ages. This Cinderella set is available for bidding at DealDash, check this link here.

There are also Lego sets for super hero fans, such as this Hulk or Spiderman set, both available on DealDash at this link here.

LEGO Super Heroes Hulk Lab Smash Play SetLEGO Super Heroes Spider-Helicopter Rescue Play Set

There are also many other Lego sets that come up on DealDash, just click this link here and you will be taken to all of the current and upcoming Lego products that DealDash offers, including video games as well as character sets.

I hope that you enjoyed reading about Lego sets, and if you’re interested in bidding on anything Lego, or if you have another type of toy in mind check out the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games section on DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
