DealDash PS5 For Only $0.50 – Too Good To Be True?

DealDash advertises a PlayStation 5 console being sold for only $0.50.

You might have seen the ad on TV about the PlayStation 5 that was sold for $0.50 on DealDash. 50 cents? There must be something fishy going on with a price like that. Maybe there are some hidden fees? Surely this is not all that the customer paid for the PS5 on DealDash? What about shipping costs?

…and a 55-inch TV! In July 2021 a DealDash bidder couldn’t believe their eyes as they only placed 2 bids to win the auction for a bundle of the brand new PS5 console and a 55″ TV.

A new way to shop

Our story began in 2009. We launched DealDash to create a new type of bidding site where bidders who don’t win an auction don’t have to lose their money. Over the past 12 years we have followed our motto of “Fair and Honest” to grow into the premier pay-to-participate shopping experience. Want to see for yourself? You begin by creating an account for free. The first stop for new bidders is the How It Works section. There you will learn how to bid and how to set up your profile. You can even participate in a practice tutorial auction.

The bidding process is a simple one. Each bid you place uses up one of the bids from your balance, and increases the price of the auction by 1¢, while setting the auction timer then back to a full ten seconds. It’s in this small window that someone else must decide if they will place a bid to outbid you. Auctions go on as long as the bidding continues, but if no new bids are placed and you are the final bidder in the auction, you win the auction at the final sale price!

A New Face For The New Year

On DealDash, bidders love to show a bit of their personality in the auctions by choosing a funny or witty username, and of course selecting an avatar of their choice. The avatar is the photo that displays next to your username while you bid. DealDashers either select from a premade group of cartoon avatars, or they upload a photo of their own to use on the mobile apps.

Over the years, we have introduced exciting new items, promotions, and gameplay features to DealDash, but the avatars have stayed the same. We might have been overlooking them to work on other matters, but today we are proud to announce that we are not neglecting avatars anymore! Putting your best face forward on DealDash is easy across all devices! On desktop, you can change your profile avatar from your Dashboard section. On Android, open the main app menu (three lines at the top left of the main screen), then tap your picture in the top left. On iOS, tap Dashboard → Settings, then your picture in the top left. Then all that’s left is deciding which new avatar is best for you!

With our new avatars, now you will have a face for every occasion, or auction!
