DealDash Will Donate All Auction Win Payments Made on Sunday, Sept. 10th to Hurricane Irma Relief Fund

As Hurricane Irma is expected to hit Florida hard on Sunday, September 10th, DealDash promises to donate all auction win payments made that day to Hurricane Irma relief efforts through the American Red Cross.

Hurricane Irma is a Category 5 Atlantic hurricane producing up to 185-mile per hour winds that has already wreaked havoc on  Barbuda, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Martin, Anguilla and the Virgin Islands. On the heels of hitting Cuba hard on Saturday, Irma is expected to make landfall in Florida Sunday.

Just over two weeks ago, Hurricane Harvey devastated areas of Texas around Houston, leaving at least 69 people dead and billions of property damages in its wake.

Hurricane Irma is breaking records as the strongest hurricane ever on record in the Atlantic basin outside the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico and is tied with the 1935 Labor Day hurricane as the strongest cyclone on record to make landfall in the Atlantic basin.

As Floridians prepare themselves and their homes for potential catastrophe, DealDash is pledging to help make a difference by donating all auction win payments made on September 10th to Hurricane Irma relief funds through the American Red Cross.

Even if you have auction wins won previously that have not been paid for, if you pay for them on September 10th, all of those funds will go directly to relief funds.

DealDash is committed to its customers and making a difference in communities in need across the nation.  Thank you, DealDash!

Learning About DealDash is Exciting!

DealDash is the longest running “pay-to-bid” auction site around. Before DealDash was founded on February 22, 2009, your only choices were a handful of sites that offered you absolutely nothing for your money if you didn’t win. Most of those other sites are out of business now, and with good reason. The whole idea of DealDash was thought up by company’s founder, William Wolfram. If you’re interested in learning more about DealDash’s history and some fun facts and tips, then read on.

The Difference With DealDash

DealDash is so very different from all of the other sites out there. Not only does DealDash offer a “safety net” for when you don’t win, they also offer many other unique perks. For instance, this safety net that I mentioned is called “Buy It Now”, or “BIN”. This means that you can recover each and every bid that you spent on a particular auction if you take the BIN option. Doing a BIN just means that you buy the auction for it’s retail price, and DealDash will give you back your bids. It’s that simple.

Another example of the DealDash difference is the fact that you can get your money back if you don’t enjoy using DealDash! DealDash is completely risk-free to try, because they will offer you a refund if you don’t want to continue being a member of the community. Please do remember, though, that your first bid pack is refundable, but not any subsequent bid packs.

DealDash Offers Free Bids – That’s Different

Something that’s definitely new and different to the auction world is that DealDash gives free bids. The other sites wouldn’t dream of giving free bids, but when William Wolfram started DealDash he thought long and hard what would make his customers happy. The result that he came up with was free gifts for his customers in the form of bids and free shipping.

As you’re bidding on DealDash your bid meter will start to fill up. Once your bidding meter has been filled your account will be credited with free bids right away. Remember when I told you about doing a BIN? After you’ve paid for your BIN and receive your bids back you’ll get to keep all of that time that you saved up as the highest bidder.

There are other ways to get free bids as well such as coming by daily to bid on DealDash, and also by sending in pictures and videos with your wins. So you can see, our founder William Wolfram really cares about his customers, and wants to make DealDash the best bidding site out there.

DealDash Rules the Auction Space

DealDash

We all know that DealDash is the clear winner when comparing bidding sites. But what is the “secret sauce”? Read on for more details.

You can go online and google “auction site”, and you will have many to choose from. However, DealDash is miles and miles above the rest when it comes to bidding, perks, and fun. DealDash might seem like some of the other sites on the surface, but if you look just slightly below the surface you will see that there are so many things that make DealDash the best bidding site around, hands down. You’ll want to settle in and take your time while you’re reading this article. You don’t want to miss a single detail. Read on for more!

Let’s Talk Bid Prices

When we are thinking about DealDash versus all of the competition, the first thing that people always compare is bid prices. Well, I have good news, DealDash has excellent prices on bids. For your first bid pack purchase, the bids will cost .60 per bid. This is fairly in line with other bidding sites. However, after your first bid pack purchase, you are eligible to purchase your bids at a discounted rate. This rate changes depending on what kind of sale that DealDash is running, but I have seen them anywhere between .12-.19. The most common price seems to be around .14-.17.

Other bidding sites charge substantially more for single bids. I have seen bids cost as much as a dollar each. Can you imagine spending 20 bids ($20!) or even 50 bids ($50!!) on an auction and not even winning? It happens. This brings us to our next point – Buy It Now.

The DealDash BIN Difference

One of the very most special differences when you use DealDash is Buy It Now, or BIN. BIN means that you won’t lose your money and bids even if you don’t win. DealDash realizes that their customers work hard for their money and don’t want to just throw it away if they don’t win. Enter BIN! When you Buy It Now it means that instead of just throwing away your money when you don’t win, you can pay the retail value of the price that you were interested in and get all of your bids back. Sound too good to be true? Well, it IS true.

After you’re done bidding in an auction, then you can hit the BIN button and then authorize your payment to DealDash. After your payment has been approved DealDash will refund all of the bids that you spent on the auction.

This is absolutely nothing those other bidding sites. When you lose on the other bidding sites, that’s it! Sayonara bids and money! That’s why DealDash is the way to go when you’re considering doing a little entertainment shopping online.

DealDash Customer Service is Your New BFF

If you needed any more reasons to choose DealDash over the competition, it’s the customer service team. They are smart, polite, and fast to respond. I don’t want to talk too badly about the competition – but let me tell you, I have never had a positive experience with any of the other bidding site’s customer service. It was neutral at best.

Not only is DealDash customer service all of these things, they are also full of solutions to your DealDash concerns and ideas for how to become better bidders. When you email or use live chat with DealDash, you can feel confident that you’ll get a friendly person who knows their DealDash information!

DealDash Heroes: Hurricane Harvey Heroes

Welcome to the newest DealDash series, DealDash Heroes! Today we are going to be talking a little bit about Hurricane Harvey.

Hurricane Harvey was a Category 4 hurricane that hit Texas last week on August 25th. Many areas received more than 40 inches of rain as the hurricane spread over eastern Texas which caused catastrophic flooding. Some areas in Texas received up to 51.88 in of rain. The resulting floods affected hundreds of thousands of homes. Over 30,000 people were left homeless and the hurricane prompted more than 17,000 rescues. In addition to this, more than 300,000 people were left without electricity and billions of dollars of property damage was sustained in Texas. With all of these horrible statistics, you’re probably wondering what is being done to help these poor people who have lost their homes. Enter the heroes.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have been working to manage the levels of flooding. While this isn’t what you typically think about when you think about people helping after a disaster, it’s very important work. These brave workers are doing their best to minimize the damage from more flooding in hopes that there will be less damage to people’s homes.

National Guard

The National Guard have been working tirelessly on search and rescue, recovery, and clean up operations. This extremely important work is done to try and find more survivors, as well as to start cleaning up some of the major damage that was caused by the storm itself and also the flooding.

Large American Corporations & Celebrities

Even big companies and celebrities have gotten into the spirit of helping our disaster victims in Texas that were affected by Hurricane Harvey. Big corporations across the US donated more than a combined total of $72 million to relief efforts, amazingly, 42 companies donated at least $1 million.

In addition to big companies donating money, some big-name celebrities like Sandra Bullock, Rachel Ray, and Leonardo DiCaprio as well as a few major league sports teams have donated millions of dollars as well.

Big Name and Not so Big Name Charities

There has, of course, been significant help from some big name charities that you have probably heard of such as the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and the Humane Society. However there has been much help provided by some organizations that you might not be so familiar with such as the United States Equestrian Federation and Operation BBQ relief.

How Can We Help?

There has been so much damage and loss of income for these folks in Texas that they are going to need a lot of help. This isn’t a quick fix that will be over in a week or two, many of the people affected didn’t have any property or renter’s insurance so they are completely at the mercy of volunteers and charity organizations.

As a fellow American it’s our duty to try and help if we can. If you’re short on cash yourself, then perhaps you could help by donating some used clothing, toys, or household goods to your local Salvation Army. You also might want to check and see if your town is doing any kind of donation collection for the hurricane victims.

In my town there was a collection for pet food and supplies that are being sent down south. My daughter’s Girl Scout troop has “adopted” another Girl Scout troop in the affected area and each girl donated a stuffed animal and a non-perishable box of snacks. These might sound like very small ways to help a very big problem.

However, as someone who was once the victim of a different devastating hurricane, I can attest to the fact that even a little help is better than none. How would you feel if the only things that you owned in the world were the things you hurriedly stuffed into a backpack as you were evacuating?

If you would like to donate gift cards, then DealDash is the perfect place to obtain them. DealDash has some very practical gift cards that you can bid on such as Target, Wal-Mart, Sears, K-Mart, and fast food such as Subway, Arby’s, and Burger King. As I said before, every little bit helps, so let’s all help!
