Luxury Items on DealDash

DealDash

Do you have champagne tastes on a grape juice budget? Try out your skills on DealDash for luxury items.

Loving fancy and expensive items is a bit of a weakness of mine, but as a mom of three, I don’t have a lot of extra money in the budget for frivolous items. Sure, there is plenty of money for household needs, but for beautiful jewelry and art? Not so much. Luckily, DealDash has a large selection of jewelry, home decor, and art for those of us who like the finer things in life. Read on for more information.

Home Decor the DealDash Way

Do you love works of fine art, statues, and fountains? Are you a little short on cash, though, and don’t have extra money to make your house look like a fine hotel? No problem! All of these items are up for bid on DealDash and can be yours if you’re the final bidder in the auction. There are expensive items like these up for auction every single day, and some of them are won for literally pennies on the dollar. Of course, some of them end up going for much more, but the majority end up with a final auction fee of less than $20.

Electronics A-Plenty

If you have an old TV, a clunky old desktop, or a flip phone cell, then it’s time you visited the DealDash Electronics and Computers category. This category has everything you could ever wish for to furnish your home with the electronics of your dreams. If you’re a regular bidder on the Electronics and Computers category, then your friends and family will be amazed with all of the wonderful electronics that they see in your home the next time they come visit.

What if I Don’t Win?

We call can’t be the big winner every time. There is always one big winner in each auction and other people who don’t win. DealDash realizes that people don’t want their bidding to be in vein, though, and offers a solution to all of the people who bid but didn’t win. It’s called Buy It Now. Bidders affectionately refer to it as BIN.

Have you ever “BINned” an item? It’s easy, and when you BIN an item for the listed price you will get every single one of your bids back, the item you wanted, and free shipping on each item. Since DealDash cares about it’s bidders, you will also get to keep the “clock time” that you accrued while placing bids, which leads to free bids when you “free bid meter” has filled up.

Different Terms: Buying Bids and Buying It Now

DealDash

What’s the difference between buying bids and Buying It Now? Read on to find out more from DealDash…

DealDash has many different terms, abbreviations, and acronyms. If you’re a newbie, you might be wondering what the difference between “Buying It Now” and buying bids. The answer is easy, but let’s look a little deeper into the explaination.

Buying It Now (BIN)

DealDash has your back covered no matter if you win or lose – that’s why they created BIN – Which means “Buy It Now.” People often say they are going to “BIN” an auction, which just means that they are going to pay the full retail price for the item and receive their bids back from DealDash.

Buy It Now (BIN) is how many people that use DealDash are able to participate so often. All auctions are availible for you to BIN, as long as you placed at least a bid before there was a winner. It’s a smart idea to always BIN the auction if you don’t win.

What Do I Get When I BIN?

If you’re wondering how much it costs to BIN an auction, it’s different for each one, depending on the retail price of the item. The BIN price is located at the top of the auction’s individual page. When you BIN an auction for the retail price you’ll get each and every bid back from DealDash that you placed, in addition to free shipping on the item. After you have paid for your BIN auction you will receive all of your bids back that you have placed to use right then or to use later on.

An Example of a Successful BIN

Let’s look at an example of a successful BIN on DealDash. If you are bidding on a necklace that has a BIN price of $85 and you have already placed 575 bids, assuming you paid around .15 per bid, it would make sense for you to BIN this auction and get all of your bids back, because .15 x 575 = $86.25. So if you BIN this necklace for $85, you will receive free shipping as well as all of your bids back to try again on a different auction. DealDash has given you a wonderful gift with BIN, because if you are willing to BIN an auction you will never lose – you will get all of your bids back when you BIN it for the retail price.

Buying Bids

Now that you know what a BIN is, let’s talk about buying bids. Because, after all, bids are the currency that you use to participate on DealDash. Bid packs come in many different amounts of bids. You can get a pack of 60, 300, 600, 1200, or 2400. Bids cost between .13-.60 per bid. The most common price for bids is around $.15-.17, so if you see them for less than that, you should definitely buy some right away. The price of bids changes daily, there will always be a sale around the corner. Stock up on bids for a rainy day.

The Top 3 Do’s and Dont’s for DealDash Newbies

I was once a DealDash newbie too and made all the common mistakes that newbies tend to make. While I do believe there is a learning curve to getting your groove on DealDash, learning these top 3 dos and don’ts of DealDash bidding may very well be critical to your bidding success.

Do #1: Do Educate Yourself

There are several places on DealDash where you can get the inside scoop on how to increase your chances of winning. In fact, you’re in such a place right now if you are reading this—our blogs! The DealDash blogs are a great place to get exclusive tips written and shared by actual DealDash bidders. Another great place to gain insider knowledge is by clicking on Tips & tricks on the main page. Don’t forget to connect with others on the official DealDash Facebook and Twitter pages too!

Do #2: Do Use Tools for Success

DealDash wants you to win! It’s true! Some of the tools you can use to your bidding advantage include:

The Winners tab which allows you to see who has won over the past 24 hours and what ending auction prices were on those auctions. This can be valuable information if you’re keeping track of trends on particular items, bidders or the best days and times to bid.

Bookmark auctions by clicking on the star at the top right hand side of any individual auction. The star will turn a yellow-orange color and will be moved to the top of your page for easy viewing.

Email alerts can be activated by going into any individual auction and clicking on the blue Alert Me button in the lower left hand corner. Once activated, it will turn red (changing to Remove Alert, allowing you to deactivate the email alert at any time) and you will be sent an email alerting you that auction within 8 hours of the auction start time.

Do #3: Do Use Bid Buddy

Bid Buddy does the work for you. All you do is set the number of bids you want to place in any particular auction and once the auction starts, Bid Buddy will apply one bid each 10 seconds until you win or your pre-set number of bids run out. You can set just one bid or thousands. You’ll never have to worry about getting distracted and forgetting to keep up with the bidding. Bid Buddy really is a bidder’s best friend.

Don’t #1 – Don’t Jump or Stomp

Jumping is when you “jump” in on an auction after many others have placed their bids. While it’s often thought of as strategic and sometimes works, in many cases the most wins are attained by those who bid early and stick with it over time using Bid Buddy. Stomping, however, is considered just plain rude. Stomping is when you bid after each bidder without letting the timer run its course, which helps everyone earn time toward free bids. There’s really no good reason to stomp other than to annoy bidders and any experienced bidder will tell you that stompers rarely change their course for staying focused on the auction and the only thing that happens is the stomper uses many, many times more bids than the person who sticks with the auction using Bid Buddy.

Don’t #2 – Don’t Spread Your Bids too Thin

One thing I learned after making the mistake several times is that I get far better results if I put several bids into a few auctions rather than putting a handful of bids in several. It’s also important when starting out, to choose smaller auctions to gain practice and success rather than going for big-ticket items right out of the gate.

Don’t #3 – Don’t Pay Too Much

Set limits and know that one of the greatest pieces of advice I’ve ever received regarding DealDash is that “there is always another one of the items you want up for bid just around the corner.” You are rarely, if ever, going to be bidding on an item you will never see again. If you’re over your limit and still want to win the item, bookmark the next one and try again.

Every day DealDash gives you the tools to the trade so to speak. With time, patience, practice and success, you can learn to be a winning DealDash bidder too! Good luck and happy bidding!
